Bio and Work Experience:

I am a builder– of brands, communities, campaigns, communications, events, art installations AND corporate social responsibility – and the person leadership counts on to GSD (Get Stuff Done). I lead by thinking differently and creatively to deliver strategic and compelling content that cuts through noise and resonates on the human level driving authentic audience engagement. My passion is creating fusion where business, community and the greater good intersect– I do this by identifying, nurturing, capturing, and disseminating dynamic stories that serve to elevate a brand and its community, while delivering on business goals. My other talents include being a mission driven Art Instigator and Public Art Curator- I strive to uphold visual integrity in all aspects of my work.

I thrive on an open playing field where I wrangle ambiguity to bring vision to reality for immediate impact while building on long-range vision for sustained outcomes.

My next adventure will be with a mid-size organization that is growing, with a vibrant team of people that excel while innovating and creating next level interactions that give voice to a socially responsible brand or a mission driven organization, or both!

————- How I Got Here ————-

My career journey started in San Francisco at the height of the dot com boom with Red Sky Interactive, a pioneer in interactive brand design and development. With an amazing team of creatives, we developed pioneering interactive branding for clients like Nike, Miller Genuine Draft, HP, Absolut Vodka and Coca-Cola.  After 8 years, I became a Brand Manager for A Good Seed Production where I produced large scale immersive events (think Richard Branson on stage in a cock-pit with a troop of cheerleaders and donkeys) for clients like Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Simplex and Old Navy.

Called to move back East,  I spent the next decade+ at Dealer.com in Vermont where I envisioned and built both their first ever Marketing Department as well as their Corporate Social Responsibility program resulting in Dealer’s gaining national recognition as a leader in both the Automotive Internet marketing space as well as the CSR world.

Notable specifics include:

  • Launched and built P.E.A.C.E. (Planet, Eat Local, Arts & Culture and Employees) Program which was rooted in the values of our leadership and our employees. Through our grantmaking, event sponsorships and employee volunteer programs, we connected with changemaking organizations where our collective  impact was greater and our community (internal and external) became stronger. The business benefits of P.E.A.C.E. was a measured boost in employee recruiting retention and engagement
  • Implemented a highly engaged Employee Volunteer Program clocking 25k+ hours of volunteer time with 3.4k employee participating in 323 scheduled team member volunteer days
  • Created a “Give BackGrants” program totalling 197 Community Grants, 64 Employee Inspired grants, including 10 grants to organization that created national models with their programs
  • Built another “first ever” for the company: a sustainable transportation program in partnership with Green Mountain Transit to promote the use of public transportation.  The company 100% subsidized the cost of bus passes, yielding 48.8k rides on mass transit which reduced our carbon footprint by 423k pounds
  • Gained Dealer another specific national recognition as one of the top 10 businesses in the United States making a significant commitment to the Arts through receipt of the ARTS + BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP AWARD presented by American For The Arts
  • Most recently, I was Director of Communications at The Public Health Institute and leader of a Pandemic Response Team that was 93% bilingual, speaking 47 languages from the hardest hit and most underserved communities in California and the Pacific Northwest. Through the Tracing Health website, I initiated the sharing of the team’s pandemic journey with videos, photos, and audio that honored these heroes by giving voice to the frontline contact tracers, vaccine ambassadors and resource coordinators. We launched a brand, website and all program collateral – including 60 videos –  in less than four months.  Tracing Health’s website recently won an Anthem Award,  which recognizes and celebrates purpose & mission-driven work from people, companies and organizations worldwide!
  • And all along the way while working full time, have brought my passion for and expertise in Corporate Social Responsibility, Marketing, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Employee & Community Engagement to other businesses and not for profits as a consultant.
  • I most recently launched a new mission based public art initiative,  Mission Murals.  Read more about Mission Murals at Seven Days.
